Congratulations WIOA Grant recipient! Thank you for giving MicroTrain the opportunity to partner with you for your training needs. We understand the role we play in helping you achieve your goals of getting trained, certified and hired. We are committed to your success and have made available the tools, services, and support needed to catapult your career to the next level.
Let's get started, between now and the start of your first class; you have several assignments to complete in preparation.
First, please log in to our student portal, TheProfessional.me. It is a one-stop shop for career services and student needs. Near the top of the page, you will find the name of your Career Services Manager. It all adds up to a satisfying student experience and a clear path to course completion, certification, and employability. Be sure to check, review and complete any pre-course assignments by clicking on the course name.
Follow the steps listed below to gain access to our experienced IT Recruiters who, when the time is right, will get you in front of hiring managers.
- Complete the Job Search Expectation Survey, and MicroTrain IT Recruiters will gain access to your profile and start qualifying you for open positions. If you have a specific need, they will seek out employers and establish trusted relationships that will ultimately fast track you to hiring managers.
- Upload your resume and achieve a B or better – Once you receive a B or better on your resume the system notifies our IT Recruiters.
- Connect your LinkedIn Profile and achieve a B or better - Your LinkedIn profile is a reflection of you and your resume. Employers will establish their first impression of you. Please make sure you have a picture!
- Complete your elevator pitch because - You have one shot to impress employers during an interview or networking event. Make it count and stand out!
- Confirm your Certification Schedule - Envision your future, confirm your certification goal date(s) and stay motivated, it is within your reach.
Second, during your time at MicroTrain, if you have any questions or need to communicate with your Career Services Manager please use the Make a Request link within your theprofessional.me account. To eliminate the technical issues that email sometimes causes it is required that you use our internal Make a Request tool. Here's how...
